Join regulatory colleagues from the Chicago area for an evening of networking and an expert presentation entitled “Regulaotry Compliant PDFs and Beyond.” This event is sponsored by the RAPS Chicago Chapter and is intended to promote knowledge advancement and facilitate networking among local regulatory professionals. Attendees of this meeting are eligible for 1.5 RAC recertification points.
Regulatory agencies worldwide are moving toward electronic-only submission formats. Rick Borstein, Business Development Manager, Legal and Life Science Markets, for Adobe Systems Inc., will discuss the development and preparation of PDFs for FDA submissions. He will review the background and history of PDF submissions to FDA and the agency’s requirements, including bookmarks, links, versions, compression and digital signatures, as well as available third-party tools. The presentation will conclude with Borstein demonstrating the creation of a PDF from Microsoft Office applications, PDF document review, creating text searchable PDFs, editing techniques to remove sensitive information, digital signatures and managing security issues.
