The RAPS Professional Development Navigator (PD Navigator) is the only online tool that allows regulatory affairs professionals to assess their job-focused knowledge and skills while managing their career development.
The PD Navigator draws upon over four years of intensive research on the regulatory affairs profession, and uses this proprietary information to help you track and manage your professional development, bringing you closer to your career goals. The PD Navigator allows you to:
- ASSESS your regulatory affairs level of expertise in relation to industry norms
- DETERMINE your strengths and areas for improvement
- IDENTIFY and enroll in educational programs to help you realize your goals

The PD Navigator consists of three tools:
Self-Assessment Manager
The Self-Assessment Manager allows you to assess your current RA level. This tool includes lists of professional and business skills and knowledge statements a regulatory affairs professional is expected to have and use at a given proficiency level.

Core Competencies Manager
As part of this tool, you are able to view regulatory matrices. Each matrix represents a specific Level that consists of lists of tasks, professional skills, business skills, regulatory qualities, professional knowledge and institutional knowledge. This tool includes lists of educational programs and products that represent the regulatory core competencies.

Professional Planning Manager
This tool consists of a personal planner and learning organizer so you can track your professional achievements and keep a list of upcoming training.
