The emerging technology of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning is increasingly used to help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare. One of the challenges is that while AI is still evolving, the regulatory and standards requirements are as well - which remain in flux. This session will explain the shortcomings of the current approaches and the numerous efforts being made at a national and international level to support the standards and regulatory development needed to advance the use of AI.

Learning Objectives:

  • An introduction to the current use of AI/ML in healthcare.
  • What’s different about AI/ML compared to traditional technologies?
  • Discussing the current AI/ML standards and regulatory landscape

A live Q&A portion with the speaker will follow the presentation.
