RAPS awards RAC credentials to 104 autumn 2022 examinees

RAPS published the names of 104 professionals who earned their Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) during the autumn 2022 exam period. Each joins the prestigious group of more than 5,000 professionals around the world who hold at least one RAC credential

The RAC credentials are the leading certifications for regulatory professionals in the healthcare product sector and the only accredited through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies. Professionals obtain their RAC-Drugs or RAC-Devices credential by passing the corresponding exam.

“Congratulations to the new RAC credential holders on their achievement,” said RAPS Credentialing Director Jennifer Naughton. "RAC credential holders are recognized and respected globally. Their presence provides deep reassurance to key stakeholders and to the public.”

To pass these challenging exams, one must demonstrate not only the knowledge of healthcare product regulations, but also the analytical and critical thinking skills to apply them in a variety of scenarios.

The Regulatory Affairs Certification Board (RACB) oversees development of the RAC examinations. Each exam is created by a committee of practicing regulatory experts. Exam questions are updated every year to reflect current regulations, guidelines, and practices.

To maintain the credential, one must recertify every three years by demonstrating continuous learning, professional development, regulatory leadership, and an ongoing commitment to the profession.

“Earning an RAC credential is a big milestone in any regulatory career,” said RAPS Executive Director Bill McMoil. “On behalf of RAPS, I want to offer my congratulations to all our new RAC credential holders.”
