Last month, RAPS opened its new Japan office in Tokyo, a landmark step in advancing the global regulatory profession. RAPS Board member Shuichi Matsunaga and members of the Advisory Board in Japan, including Kenichi Matsumoto and Mime Egami, were instrumental in establishing this office. The office is located in the Institute of Advanced Biomedical Engineering and Science's new facility at Tokyo Women's Medical University. The Institute is a joint effort between Tokyo Women's Medical University and Waseda University to support advanced technology and health product development and to create stronger links between innovators and the regulatory profession. Indeed, the opening of the new RAPS office in Tokyo is symbolic of the growth and development of the regulatory profession and of RAPS.
