In Focus: Regulatory Role and Function

One of the most important elements of regulatory effectiveness is being well rounded-having a good working knowledge of a number of different areas of the profession. These include high-level regulatory strategies, such as the type of submission that will be filed, as well as details that may be gained in a regulatory specialty area or through focus on a therapeutic area. It is incumbent upon regulatory professionals to develop their knowledge within any or all of these areas in order to benefit the company, their projects and, ultimately, the patients who may receive the final product.
