Focus Forward: Bringing the Global Regulatory Community Together

| 01 October 2010

The regulatory profession is unique. We have many titles and perform many duties. At times,we may identify ourselves as scientists, researchers, clinicians, investigators, compliance officers, engineers, quality assurance professionals, marketers or something else entirely. Our profession is global. Whether we are focused on the regulations of a particular country or region, or work across multiple geographic areas and regulatory systems, we must stay on top of global developments in healthcare technology, regulation, policy and business. We may work with a particular product type-pharmaceuticals, medical devices,biotechnology-or several different types. The duties we perform and the expertise we must bring to our daily work are as diverse as the products, regions and systems we engage with. But we are all regulatory professionals helping to make better healthcare products possible and we are all members of the global regulatory community.
