Registration Specialist, Rockville, Maryland or Remote

General Summary

The Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) is seeking a Registration Specialist to join our team. The registration specialist is responsible for developing, planning, and executing education offerings across several modalities.

The registration specialist is responsible for managing the entire event registration lifecycle for multiple workshops (in-person and online), webinars, and conferences.  The registration specialist is responsible for ensuring all facets of registration are built and executed on time and with optimal user experience.  This position requires travel to provide on-site support for major US based conferences and other events as needed. This position requires individuals who can work both independently and as part of an overall team.

This position reports to the Senior Director, Education Programs and collaborates closely with several internal departments and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and execute registration program operations.
  • Manage operations related to the registration process on specified projects including, but not limited to Workshops (both in-person and online), Webcasts and RAPS Convergence (national conference), Euro Convergence (European conference) and RAPS partnership events.Coordinate between internal stakeholders, customers and vendors in setting up and operating registration.
  • Coordinate with Marketing, IT, Customer Support and vendors to customize registration websites to reflect the RAPS brand and keep attendees informed or the event’s agenda and ongoing activities.
  • Manage project plan for each registration product to ensure compliance with deadlines and contract terms.
  • Develop and manage testing and quality control processes to ensure a standard of excellence in the customer experience throughout the registration process.
  • Working with the IT department and vendors, create and disseminate reports to serve the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support registration customer service efforts in association with our internal staff and external vendors.
  • Prepare badges, merges, data downloads as needed to execute check in at in-person events.
  • Support on-site registration desk at Convergence, supervising vendor and temporary personnel.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
