Research Analyst, Rockville, Maryland

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The Research Analyst works with RAPS members, staff, and stakeholders to develop and implement a yearly research agenda to support the healthcare regulatory profession.
Responsibilities include:

  • Work with RAPS committee members, regulator stakeholders and staff to draft annual research plan.
  • Plan and conduct mixed-method research, including survey research, focus groups, and in-depth interviews designed to help RAPS support the healthcare regulatory profession.
  • Employ evidence-based tactics to research projects to include outward facing, inward facing, benchmarking, satisfaction/engagement evaluations, needs assessments, and environmental scanning.
  • Develop plans for analyzing qualitative and quantitative data
  • Draft research deliverables (i.e., screeners, questionnaires, protocols)
  • Translate findings into actionable recommendations in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Write clear, concise reports (from top-level summaries to detailed technical reports)
  • Oversee study logistics and coordination, which may include recruitment
  • Develop and monitor project timeline, budget and staffing needs, coordinating across programs as needed
  • Work with vendors and subcontractors as required

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's in communication, psychology, public health or a related social science
  • 3-5 years research experience, regardless of domain
  • Project management experience (required)
  • Survey research experience (required)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and work ethic
  • Survey researchplatforms (required)
  • Experience with software such as R, SASS, SPSS
  • Advanced Excel skills are a big plus
