2022 was a great year to finally reconnect with our global regulatory community! We were excited to host RAPS Euro Convergence and RAPS Convergence in-person, along with several of our US and European workshops. Global regulatory professionals continue to innovate and advance patient care and public health with vigor. We are thrilled to support this vibrant community, by providing forums for members to connect, learn and excel. Thanks to numerous members, volunteers, regulatory experts and leaders, RAPS global membership continues to grow, and we are delivering more educational content than ever before. There are many successes to celebrate, as evidenced by the following highlights and significant numbers from 2022. Thank you for another outstanding year!
With more than 30,000 members globally, the RAPS community continues to thrive. European membership grew by 20 percent (on top of 2021’s unprecedented 42 percent jump) and even more volunteers contributed their time and expertise to support the profession. Additionally, RAPS relaunched the local networking group in Ireland and introduced new communities in France, Israel, Spain, and Portugal─giving members even more opportunities to connect and share ideas.
RAPS members stayed connected and collaborated via social media and RAPS Regulatory Exchange (RegEx) more than ever in 2022. Our social media following increased by 21 percent. In addition, RAPS made a major upgrade to RegEx so members can continue to host lively discussions and answer each other’s questions with ease.
In February, RAPS launched a joint venture with the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO) to carry on Xavier Health’s legacy of working in the healthcare products space. The AFDO/RAPS Healthcare Products Collaborative supports sharing, collaboration, and learning across the global healthcare products community. It focuses on fostering open discussions of the most pressing issues facing the industry.
