This session explores how current regulatory leaders can intentionally shift from being technical experts to becoming talent multipliers within their organizations.
As regulatory professionals progress into leadership roles, technical expertise alone is no longer sufficient to drive success. Today's regulatory leaders are increasingly called upon to coach mentor and develop mid-career professionals and new managers, often without formal training in how to do so effectively. This session explores how current regulatory leaders can intentionally shift from being technical experts to becoming talent multipliers within their organizations. Utilizing proven coaching and mentoring frameworks and the unique dynamics of regulatory work, this presentation will provide practical tools for supporting career growth, strengthening leadership pipelines, and fostering inclusive, high-performing regulatory teams. Participants will gain clarity on how to distinguish coaching from mentoring, when each approach is most effective, and how to apply both in real world regulatory scenarios, such as new managers navigating organizational influences, managing ambiguity, and developing strategic thinking. The session will also address common challenges leaders face, including time constraints, hybrid work environments, and cross functional complexities to offer realistic, scalable approaches that can be implemented immediately.
