The Role:

RAPS is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Business Development & Sales to drive revenue growth, strengthen corporate partnerships, and modernize business development operations across the organization.

What will you do with us?
  • Establish revenue targets, sales metrics, and performance tracking.
  • Develop and execute an organization-wide business development strategy.
  • Drive revenue growth across membership, sponsorships, exhibits, advertising, events, and educational programs.
  • Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Manage a portfolio of high-value enterprise and corporate accounts.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a global business development team.
  • Establish revenue targets, sales metrics, and performance tracking.
  • Strengthen Salesforce utilization, including dashboards, pipeline visibility, and forecasting.
  • Implement scalable sales processes and CRM governance.
  • Partner with marketing, finance, and product teams to align revenue initiatives.
  • Represent RAPS at industry conferences and key client meetings.
Salesforce & Revenue Operations Leadership
  • Serve as an advanced Salesforce user and internal champion for CRM best practices.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting to improve pipeline visibility and forecasting accuracy.
  • Use customer data and analytics to inform revenue strategy.
  • Ensure CRM data quality, governance, and adoption across the business development team.
What you will bring to succeed: Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of leadership experience in business development, sales, or revenue operations.
Proven success leading revenue-generating teams and achieving sales targets.
Experience leading organizational change or sales transformation initiatives.
Advanced proficiency with Salesforce CRM including pipeline management and analytics.
Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Experience managing distributed or remote teams.
Association, nonprofit, healthcare, or life sciences industry experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
Total compensation range: $130,000 – $160,000 (base salary plus performance-based incentives). Actual compensation depends on experience, skills, and alignment with the role.
