Where applicable, the reverse charge mechanism applies, and VAT is not charged to the customer; the customer is responsible for accounting for the tax. Invoices are issued in compliance with the VAT Code and the EU VAT Directive. The VAT rate and amount are calculated based on the taxable base and the applicable rate for the goods or services supplied. For further details on Belgian VAT rules, see the Belgian VAT Code and the EU VAT Directive.
