Attending the conference was a great opportunity to interact with members of the European Medicines Agency, European Commission, Notified Bodies and Industry of both pharma and medical devices backgrounds. The event was packed with learnings and meaningful discussions, focusing on the latest developments with the aim for improvement of the future regulations for combination products while also reflecting on patient safety and innovation.
Events like this bring a lot of benefits and opportunities for personal and professional development, knowledge sharing and networking, but also ensuring all perspectives are laid out and listened to. Attending the event was essential to bring insights and learnings into my role, integrating both worlds (pharma and device) and understanding the views of both sides (regulators and industry). I have certainly left the event feeling positive and hopeful towards the future of combination products!
