A note from your 2024 RAPS EU Board chair
Dear RAPS members,
I hope you’ve had a pleasant year so far. With March advancing upon us, I wanted to share my thoughts with you as the chair of the RAPS EU Board of Directors.
2023 was a very successful year for RAPS in Europe, with RAPS Euro Convergence, the RAPS European Clinical and Risk Management Conference, in-person workshops, and virtual events providing valuable educational opportunities for regulatory professionals across many topics and specialties.
In 2022 and 2023, RAPS introduced new local networking groups (LNGs) in France, Israel, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, and relaunched its LNG in Ireland. These groups join our already existing chapters and LNGs in Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the UK. We expect to add more communities in Europe very soon. These chapters and LNGs help regulatory professionals learn from each other and make contributions to the regulatory profession. I encourage you to get involved with your local RAPS community here.
2024 is gearing up to be another great year. Winter workshops will be in Rotterdam in late February, RAPS Euro Convergence will take place from 6-8 May in Berlin, and an autumn Conference Series event is in the planning stage. And we already started the year off strong in January, as RAPS and DIA held their first joint summit on the complex topic of combination products, bringing together representatives from the European Commission, European Medicines Agency, competent authorities, Notified Bodies and 130 professionals.
I personally welcome all interested professionals to the RAPS Euro Convergence conference and other great networking opportunities and events!
Most importantly, I would like to again thank members and volunteers for their dedication to, and promotion of, the regulatory profession — without you, RAPS couldn’t exist.
I predict that 2024 will be another successful year for RAPS in Europe. I appreciate your support as we continue our journey toward professional excellence in regulatory affairs.
Sincerely,
Salma Michor
Chair, RAPS EU Board of Directors
