Introducing the RAPS Quebec Local Networking Group

The Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS) has started a networking group for regulatory professionals in Quebec, Canada, partnering with local regulatory professionals to create a community for regulatory professionals to network and share knowledge.

The RAPS Quebec Local Networking Group (LNG) is RAPS’s third regional community in Canada, joining the RAPS Ontario Chapter and the RAPS Western Canada Chapter. Several members of the group connected in October at RAPS Convergence 2023 in Montreal and have been working with RAPS to set up a community so they can begin holding events.

"Together with our LNG leadership team, we are striving to build a strong network of regulatory professionals that will actively engage all groups, from young aspiring professionals to seasoned experts in the field,” says Oksana Nedostup, chair of the RAPS Quebec Local Networking Group. "The Quebec regulatory community has a huge potential, and we want to bring it to a new level of excellence.  We are sincerely welcoming all interested professionals to join us in this inspiring journey by attending our networking and educational events, engaging in our on-line discussions and numerous upcoming initiatives. This is a community for you!”

“I have been to many networking events in the past, but a group focused on regulatory affairs and related soft skills was definitely missing in Quebec., says Emma Yuen. “I’m excited to provide a safe environment for discussions, to learn from each other, as well as to accelerate the growth and development of global regulatory affairs in Quebec!”

"I'm excited about the opportunity to lead with heart, bringing together diverse voices to spark innovation and drive positive change in healthcare regulation,” says Nadine Adia. “This journey promises not just professional growth but the chance to make a real difference.”

"I am thrilled to be part of the RAPS Quebec LNP committee to create a bridge between the IT tools efficiency and the regulatory landscape in terms of digitalization and the usage of emerging technologies,” says Marcel
Bassil.

"During RAPS Convergence in Montreal, it was clear that there is a large regulatory affairs community in Quebec,” says Priyanka Ramjagsingh. “The RAPS Quebec LNG will be a great opportunity where we can all connect to share knowledge, build relationships and foster growth within the life sciences industry."

Chapters and local networking groups allow regulatory professionals to support regional career development with support from RAPS staff. Each chapter and LNG has a website where members can team up to answer questions specific to their geographic location, brainstorm in-person and online and arrange networking events.
