ISO Membership to Foster China's Tissue Engineered Device Industry

China's Secretariat for the Technical Committee for tissue engineered medical device products received notice on 26 March 2013 from the International Standardization Organization (ISO) that China has won membership and voting rights on the international standardization activities for the ISO technical subcommittee (ISO/TC150/SC7).

Tissue engineering is a multi-disciplinary emerging technology that has developed rapidly in the last decade and has brought revolutionary innovation in the field of regenerative medicine. A skin tissue engineered medical device products industry has begun to form in China and membership in the ISO will significantly help to promote its development.
