RAPS, CAPRA Collaborate to Bring Canadian Regulators and Expertise to Global Audience

Health Canada Officials will speak at the 2018 RAPS Regulatory Convergence in October, providing updates on the Canadian government’s latest efforts to improve public health by promoting better access to therapeutic products. The Convergence is the world’s largest annual gathering of healthcare product regulatory professionals and RAPS' signature annual event. The session featuring the Canadian regulators is being produced by the Canadian Association of Professionals in Regulatory Affairs (CAPRA) as part of a collaboration between CAPRA and RAPS.

RAPS and CAPRA also have worked together on content for two soon-to-be-published books from RAPS on Canadian regulatory affairs—one covering medical devices, and the other on pharmaceuticals and biologics. The books are slated to be released in June and July.

“CAPRA has been instrumental in helping inform the global regulatory community about Canada’s regulations governing healthcare products,” said RAPS Executive Director Paul Brooks. “We are excited to be hosting the Regulatory Convergence in Canada for the first time ever, and to strengthen RAPS’ ties with CAPRA and the entire Canadian regulatory professional community.”

The RAPS Regulatory Convergence will take place 1–4 October at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, BC. For more information or to register, visit www.RAPS.org/convergence.
