RAPS DC-Baltimore Chapter to Host Career Day This Weekend

The RAPS DC/Baltimore Chapter will once again host its Mid-Atlantic Career Day this Saturday, 21 May, on the Johns Hopkins University Montgomery County campus in Rockville, MD. This is the third year for the popular event, which in past years has drawn more than 100 attendees from all around the mid-Atlantic region and beyond.

This year’s career day comes as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is placing a strong emphasis on developing a strong FDA workforce, and at least one center within the agency is reportedly looking to fill more than 900 vacancies.

The daylong event goes from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. Speakers include FDA representatives, veteran regulatory pros, academics and others. These experts will cover topics including how to break into the regulatory profession, strategies for applying for regulatory positions, working in the government, industry and non-profit sectors, consulting, education and training for regulatory careers, and more. Attendees also will be able to speak directly with recruiters about potential job openings. The full agenda is available online.

RAPS members can attend for $40. Nonmembers pay $50, and students receive 50% off. For more information or to register, go to the career day event page.
