RAPS Releases Position Specification for New Executive Director

RAPS has taken the next step in its search for a new executive director, releasing the position specification, which details the qualifications, responsibilities and competencies required of potential candidates. RAPS' board of directors and its executive director search committee worked with executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates (RRA) to develop the specification. The full position specification document is available online or by contacting RRA.

In the document, RAPS outlines the profile of its next leader as someone with strategic vision, strong leadership ability and relationship-building skills in addition to operational experience and broad understanding of the regulatory profession and its important role.

"Ideally, the selected candidate will be an individual with a demonstrated track record of strategically leading teams and organizations and will have demonstrated experience with regulatory affairs, either as a regulatory affairs professional or from within a regulatory body," says RAPS Board Chair Martha Brumfield.

RAPS' next executive director will succeed Sherry Keramidas, PhD, FASAE, CAE, who announced her retirement in December 2015 after serving in that position for the past 20 years.

Potential candidates or anyone wishing to nominate a candidate for consideration are asked to contact Stephanie Tomasso at RRA by 1 June. RAPS' search committee will be working closely with RRA to develop a slate of potential candidates.
