These 36 professionals earned their RCC credentials in summer 2024

RAPS announced today the names of the 36 professionals who passed the 2024 summer Regulatory Compliance Certification (RCC) exams.

Each professional listed below has earned their RCC-MDR or RCC-IVDR designation. To pass their RCC exam, individuals must demonstrate specific knowledge correlated to the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) or the EU In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (IVDR), respectively. Manufacturers around the world must comply with these regulations in relation to devices and in vitro diagnostics (IVDs) placed on the market in the European Union.

The deadline to sign up for an autumn 2024 RCC exam is 3 October. Learn more here.

Launched in 2023, the RCC is the newest credential for regulatory professionals in the healthcare product sector from RAPS. It is intended for individuals employed in regulatory agencies, industry, consultancies and other settings involved with the regulation of healthcare products.

A RCC credential shows employers, clients, and colleagues that a regulatory professional has the essential knowledge required for regulatory compliance in the healthcare products sector. It is important to note that these voluntary designations do not automatically qualify individuals to serve in the Person Responsible for Regulatory Compliance (PRRC) role, nor do they guarantee that an individual meets all the requirements necessary to practice as a qualified PRRC.

RAPS created the RCC credentials with input and contributions from regulatory professionals, including an expert task force of industry leaders who discussed early concepts and a group of subject-matter experts who helped RAPS build the exams.

“Congratulations to our third-ever group of RCC credential holders for earning these new certifications,” said RAPS Senior Director, Credentialing & Professional Development Jennifer Naughton. “RCC credential holders are poised to help institutions around the world navigate these EU regulations, which have global impact.”

To maintain their credentials, RCC holders must recertify every three years by demonstrating continuous learning, professional development, regulatory leadership, and an ongoing commitment to the profession.

RAPS is accepting applications for the autumn 2024 RCC exams until 3 October. Learn more about the RCC exam schedules, application instructions, and more.
