A note from your RAPS EU Board Chair
Dear RAPS members,
I want to take the opportunity to share my thoughts with you in my final year as the Chair of the RAPS EU Board.
2024 was another exceptional year for RAPS in Europe. New local networking groups (LNGs) were founded in Belgium and the Nordics, making a total of three chapters and nine LNGs in Europe. These groups provide regulatory professionals the opportunity to learn from each other and make contributions to the regulatory profession. I call on all regulatory professionals to engage with RAPS and get involved in your local communities.
RAPS led the way in 2024 with successful in-person events for regulatory professionals. We kicked off the year with a series of educational workshops in Rotterdam, then held the largest regulatory event in Europe: RAPS Euro Convergence in Berlin. We ended the year with the second European event in the RAPS Conference Series: the RAPS European Clinical, Risk, and Postmarket Surveillance Conference in Barcelona, and with the Regulatory Policy Forum, a collaboration with DIA.
RAPS was able to kick off 2025 with another successful event: Combination Products in the EU, presented by DIA and RAPS, on 28-29 Jan 2025 in Brussels. RAPS Euro Convergence 2025 will take place 13-16 May in Brussels, and I personally welcome all regulatory professionals to this event. In addition, RAPS will host two events in our Conference Series in Autumn. Stay tuned for more information soon!
In my term as Chair of RAPS EU Board, we have seen a surge in new RAPS members and the establishment of RAPS as the go-to regulatory association in Europe. I am optimistic that 2025 will be another successful year for RAPS in Europe.
Last but not least, I would like to again thank members and volunteers for their dedication to, and promotion of, the regulatory profession. Without you, RAPS couldn’t exist.
Sincerely,
Salma Michor
Chair, RAPS EU Board of Directors
