Drug Labeling Paper Delayed Again

Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) announced yet another delay in the release of its consultation paper on proposed changes to the regulatory requirements for labeling and packaging of Rx, OTC and complementary medicines.

The TGA had promised the end product of a labeling review initiated in July 2011, would be made public by the close of April.

The ongoing delay is apparently related to the preparation of 3D images intended to accompany the consultation paper as interactive online animations to provide the public with visual examples of the recommended labeling changes.
