Highlights from RAPS Euro Convergence 2024, another record-breaking event for RAPS in Europe

RAPS Euro Convergence 2024 came to Berlin this week, where more than 950 regulatory professionals from around the globe gathered for an event unlike any other.

RAPS Euro Convergence is the most comprehensive regulatory affairs conference in Europe. It's a gathering that focuses on the latest developments in healthcare products in Europe and beyond — medical devices, IVDs, pharmaceuticals, and AI and software — in an environment dedicated to regulatory excellence. 

RAPS Euro Convergence attracted its biggest-ever crowd in 2024 as the conference moved to a larger event space with room to accommodate more speakers, exhibitors, sponsors and delegates. After the event went virtual in 2020 and 2021, RAPS Euro Convergence returned in-person in 2022 and has attracted more attendees each year, showing the world how regulatory professionals are ready to share their knowledge and network in person more than ever.

Delegates at RAPS Euro Convergence were treated to:

• An expansive agenda consisting of more than 60 educational sessions across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, AI/software, regulatory business and more tracks. Delegates were able to listen to — and speak with — expert speakers from health authorities, notified bodies, and industry.

• A profound opening plenary session that started with the question, “Is regulatory affairs an art or a science?” and allowed for thoughtful discussion from expert speakers, including those from the European Medicines Agency and the European Commission.

• A networking dinner at the Spreesprecher, where delegates were able to unwind and relax as they took in a view of the River Spree.

• Preconference workshops allowed attendees who started early to deepen their knowledge in topics including AI, EUDAMED, regulatory for startups and more.

• More than 50 solution providers in the exhibit hall, where exhibitors and delegates made connections that will drive the future of regulatory collaboration.

"I’m so glad to see the passion our regulatory community has for learning and exploration,” said Jennifer Neff, co-chair of the RAPS Euro Convergence Programme Committee and head of medical device at Entourage. “The energy here in Berlin was fantastic, from the educational sessions to the coffee breaks to the nighttime events. I’m returning home a bit exhausted, but already excited about sharing lessons and ideas with my colleagues.”
