RAPS Opens Board of Directors Nominations

Today, RAPS opened the call for nominations for three vacant positions on the 2020–22 term of its board of directors. RAPS is seeking qualified candidates to fill the roles of president-elect, treasurer and one director position. Nominations will be accepted now through 29 March.

Nominees should be distinguished and experienced regulatory leaders with a strong desire to play an active role in advancing and supporting the profession. To be considered, candidates must be RAPS members in good standing.

Those interested should review the position descriptions and duties, familiarize themselves with the nomination process and download the nomination form.

“I can tell you from personal experience, having served on the RAPS board when I was a volunteer, service on the board is a highly fulfilling experience,” said RAPS Executive Director Paul Brooks. “Not only do you get to work with some of the world’s top regulatory leaders and help guide a great organization, you also get to play an important role in advancing the profession and, as the RAPS tagline says, ‘driving regulatory excellence.’”

Completed nomination forms, resume or CV and at least two letters of support are due to RAPS by the 29 March deadline. The nomination form and resume/CV should be uploaded via RAPS' volunteer portal. Letters of support may be uploaded via the portal or emailed to [email protected]. After a review of the nominations by RAPS’ nominating committee, the slate of board candidates will be announced in June.
