Regulatory Evaluation of Intraocular Lenses Focus of Upcoming Meeting

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) today announced that it has rescheduled a meeting on the regulation of intraocular lenses (IOLs) originally planned for October 2013 that had been canceled as a result of a shutdown of government operations that month.

For a complete background on the meeting, please see Regulatory Focus' 6 September 2013 story, As Intraocular Lenses See Technological Evolution, FDA Looks to Reassess Clinical Evaluation Methods.

The rescheduled meeting will now take place on 28 March 2014 at FDA's White Oak Campus in Silver Spring, MD.
